A clear boundary
Private by configuration.
Murmur does not choose an AI provider for you. You decide where selected text goes and which model processes it.
Only on invocation
Text is sent when you tap Murmur. The tweak does not run translation requests in the background.
HTTPS for keys
When an API key is configured, Murmur requires an HTTPS endpoint and sends it as a Bearer token.
Custom by design
Use a hosted provider, a compatible gateway, or a local endpoint that matches the chat completions response shape.
Know your host
Your endpoint receives the selected text. Review its retention and privacy policy before connecting it.
